The ABXY and L and R buttons have a very satisfying feel to them, but aren't great for tapping. I could be happy enough with that on its own, but the d-pad is just completely unusable. It sits almost flush with the shell of the controller, so pressing in any direction sinks that entire side of the d-pad INSIDE THE CONTROLLER. Not even passable for navigating menus, and absolutely useless for anything action-oriented.But the button membranes I can throw in a 30-year-old controller and that works well enough, so I'm not clawing for a refund. I would be if I didn't have a 30-year-old controller, though.
