Peter Pepper's Burger is the hottest grill in town, thanks to its classic menu of award-winning puzzles and patties. But when retro gaming's master chef can't take the heat of inventing a brand-new burger, the ingredients that got chopped from Chef Peter Pepper's latest recipe take matters into their own comically oversized gloves. Out of the trash can leap four nefarious Food Foes, edible enemies with an appetite for revenge! In the ultimate battle of man vs. food, will cook or cuisine reign supreme? In 1982, Chef Peter Pepper and the Food Foes delighted arcade-goers worldwide with the action/puzzler BurgerTime. The classic gameplay returns in a fresh, colorful package full of tasty twists and scrumptious surprises as BurgerTime Party! for Nintendo Switch system! Iron-willed chefs can individually tackle the solo campaign or join up to three friends in local multiplayer, either by working cooperatively to defeat the Food Foes together, or by taking control of one or more Food Foes to stop the other team's chef(s) from completing their culinary masterpieces. With over 100 jumbo-sized stages and a variety of all-new modes and challenges, however you play, have it your way!
A Feast for the Senses - chock-full of carefully crafted stages with new hazards such as icy ladders, conveyor belts, and fiery floors, along with colorful characters inspired by old-school cartoons
Stocked Full of Secret Ingredients - Thwart Food Foes with the ol’ pepper spray, scorch them with jalapeno breath, or just throw chicken nuggets at 'em and see what happens
The More Cooks in the Kitchen, the Merrier - Local multiplayer allows up to 4 players to work cooperatively, or to play against each other by playing as one of the Food
Fast-Paced Matches, Long-Lasting Fun - Matches unfold in quick rounds across over a hundred varied stages that satisfy players' appetites for action while leaving them hungry for more
Burgertime Party is the latest entry in the classic Burgertime series. With 4 modes of gameplay (essentially Solo, Co-Op, VS and Challenge; albeit by slightly different names in game) there are plenty of ways to dish out fun! While the gameplay style is relatively simplistic by today's standards (it is based off a game from the 80's) this is still an excellent choice to enjoy eating up some multiplayer action, if you can get past a few hiccups. The Single player campaign posits itself as a tutorial at first, followed by an increasingly difficult campaign with an emphasis on puzzle solving.Unfortunately all other modes (including the two multiplayer modes) are locked behind the tutorial in the solo, so the party feature for which this game is named must be unlocked. Doing so is easy enough, however it still would have been nice to just get the party going upon initial boot up.The two multiplayer modes are fun, however things can get a bit visually hectic due to screen size (especially if you happen to play this portably). However it is still fairly fun nonetheless. The back and forth between friends on a couch as you navigate the level is in many ways priceless. Finally there is Challenge Mode, which is based upon the gameplay rules of older titles in the series and is a nice dessert of sorts for all returning players (and those who could stand for a bit of added difficulty). This is the Burgertime of yesteryear. At the end of the day BurgerTime Party is yet another great multiplayer game for the Nintendo Switch despite some odd design choices and technical limitations involving screen size. Regularly listed at $20 this is a worthy addition to any Switch Afficionado's collection and well worth the price of entry whether you are a retro styled gamer looking for a modern revamp of a timeless classic, or just the kind of person who loves a bit of fun and chaos scooped together when the friends are over for a game. All in all I'd recommend it for $20 and am looking forward to what the developers have cooking up next!I like the game but I wish you could save your progress. Good game for fans of the arcade days.As a HUGE fan of the original game from the arcade, when I decided to finally buy a Switch THIS game was an absolute must for me. It is not nearly as nostalgic as I had hoped and not nearly as fun either. In order to unlock later items you have to go through kind of bland tutorial stages that have the SAME music over and over and the same ending sound effects. It gets on your nerves and is tedious to have to go through these tutorial type stages. The main game involves a total of 50 levels that unlock 5 at a time and in order to move to the next grouping of 5 you need to get at least 1 star on each of the levels. Some of them are pretty tough and can be very tedious and annoying. You may actually do really well on the level, but you need to watch the star chart at the side and get a specific number of points to get the stars. This involves being forced to do combos and dropping food on the enemies to boost the score enough to get the correct number of stars. You can't just play like you would in the original game from the arcade.Overall this is still a somewhat fun game, but can be very tedious at times. I would have preferred this to be one of those $10 or less downloadable games versus paying full price for it.As kids from the 80’s, Burgertime was one of those games that my siblings and I used to whittle the afternoons away with. Originally a one player game, this game has been updated with a new multiplayer feature so that up to four people can play at once. As long a single player survives to the next round, the game continues so that all the players can play. Lives are earned on the level and by winning levels. The gameplay is essentially the same as the OG Burgertime And there are plenty of levels to go through. The music is catchy, the graphics are Cupheadesque in a good way, and the game can be played in either short bouts or in marathon matches. There is even a mode where you can divide your players up and play the bad guys - just a tip, being a baddie is way easier than being a good guy - one touch and Peter Pepper is down! Overall, this is a fun reboot of a classic game that will appeal to kids and adults alike.Brings me back to the intelevision back in the day. So funThis is A must have if you played Burger Time in the Arcade or console! The game helps Newer players that have never played and Older player that are rusty, from ya know…Getting old (I’m guilty of age related rust). Family friendly fun for all ages and gets you hungry for a good burger! The cartoon art style has a lot of character and is a good reinterpretation of the original graphics. The gameplay is solid in both single and multi-player. Though not being able to walk through a cooperative partner can lead to some unfortunate deaths. I still highly recommend this to anyone who loves the original Data East classic.I grew up with the classic. It has a very flash feel you get from playing computer games, but the DNA is right there. Plus, I paid 19.99 for it so I shouldn't be expecting mind-blowing graphics.Good game, especially to those who grew up with the original.Cannot claim Nintendo points for this as it is USA item not UK. If I knew it was USA then I would have tried to find a UK version. Other than that it is good fun.I bought this knowing it would be an awful game, but I collect them so just had to have it.Instagram @get_switched_onI was just in it for the memories. I liked playing the classic mode on it. The new challenges added a new life to an old game. It's still fun. Good for breaks. You can always come back and continue. Take on your road trips. Or playing before you go to sleep. For those you played on Atari 2600. You will enjoy this new game with nice graphics and a retro version of the first game.muy padre juego nos encanto
