The ABXY and L and R buttons have a very satisfying feel to them, but aren't great for tapping. I could be happy enough with that on its own, but the d-pad is just completely unusable. It sits almost flush with the shell of the controller, so pressing in any direction sinks that entire side of the d-pad INSIDE THE CONTROLLER. Not even passable for navigating menus, and absolutely useless for anything action-oriented.But the button membranes I can throw in a 30-year-old controller and that works well enough, so I'm not clawing for a refund. I would be if I didn't have a 30-year-old controller, though.I understand some people might be mad that this was not the same controller made by Nintendo, but that is no excause to give poor reviews and to say this controller is bad. I have played the SNES controller and the original SNES. I remembered the SNES controller being with a little bit of weight. As with this controller it has none, but to me, that does not really matter, what matters is as long as it works, and it does what it is needed to do. I have tested both, and usually the common complaints with generics is a stiff D-Pad, that is why i recommend buying 2, luckily both of mine worked and had no d-pad issues and connectivity issues at all whatsoever. I highly recommend this controller if you can not get an SNES one out on the market. Because these are brand new and CLEAN controllers handled with care.I got this controller for $3.75. I found it to be a bargain. It came in the mail the 1st few delivery dates. The controller cable is about 5' long (which is not mentioned for the product). The controller is a bit on the rough side compared to the original super nintendo controller which was the only down side for me. On the bright side the buttons do respond quick and it is a good controller to play in any NES game.I would recommend this productThe controller game today... I don't see what the major flaws are... It was able to be played out of the box and works well.I will say that while it works, IT IS NOT a Nintendo SNES controller... but it matches the original controller in appearance. It does not match the SNES in terms of weight (it feels lighter in hand), is a thinner than the original, and the buttons are a little stiffer (but it does not affect game play, and should reduce with time).Seller was great and arrived on the first day I was too expect it.If you're looking for a cheap SNES controller that plays well... go ahead and buy it!Works great with our Retron 2 SNES/NES game console that I just purchased for my spouse (who just turned 33) as a nostalgic birthday gift. Has a nice, long cord compared to the short one that came with the console. I never mentioned the complaints from other reviewers to my spouse about the "generic feel". When asked while playing Killer Instincts, the response was, "This is AWWWSOOOOME! THANK YOU!!!! You love me! You really love me!" Lol, so, I guess all is good. :-)This 3rd party controller made a good impression on me from the get-go as it didn't tried to have a fancy design and stuck pretty much to the original SNES controller, as opposed to the 3rd party N64 controllers sold So I wanted to buy a SNES controller and instead you sent me a copy of Pride and Prejudice. At first my mind raced with the different scenarios in which a video game store based in Kentucky sent me a literary classic instead of a controller. Are you just an elaborate front by an angry Librarian upset that written media is being completely destroyed by digital media and sends out books as some strange form of vigilante social commentary/justice, are you actually blind and this entire store page on Amazon is just an odd happenstance in which you click random buttons on a computer and put things in packages hoping for the best, or do you employ a junior in high school who didn't want to do his winter book report and shipped his annoyance onto me? No matter the reasoning this book while a good read makes a horrible controller. I would ask for a replacement or refund but I'm sure you would send me a tub of butter or a condom.First this is not the original SNES controller, but a close replica! The cord is shorter unfortuantly, but it plays just fine. All the buttons work, no sharp edges to the controller. To those who complain that the plastic is rough and that it hurts, grow a pair u NERDS! The controller is a twin of the original, except without the nintendo logo, and the cord only being 3.5 feet. If your looking for a replacement, not an original this is the purchase u should make.Sa fonctionne tres bien pour moiperfectCrisa de contre façon de merde
