The little handle nubs and curves really help it feel ergonomic for how small it is. The bumper/trigger buttons feel natural to use. And both my original and 3rd party Joy Cons fit very snugly in side (I specifically went with 3rd party ones that have the same exact dimensions as the originals) so they aren't hard to get in but also won't just fall out. They just press in and pull out easily but effectively with a snug pressure fit. Both models have identical interior rubber holders to keep joy con in place. Both have the same exact size SL and SR buttons. They are literally identical except for their finish. However, I strongly prefer the FastSnail (smooth matte) over the FYOUNG. Feels way more pleasant and satisfying to hold in your hand. The only drawback is the hike in price for a FastSnail pair. Red/blue is currently $13.99. Purple/orange is significantly more at $15.99 for the pair. FastSnail offers four packs but your color combinations are limited to their 4 options. Red+blue+purple+orange is not an option for example. When contacting FastSnail, I received just short unhelpful responses regarding my inquiry if they could make other 4-pack combinations available for purchase.In short, FYOUNG (shiny) is what I would buy for a child to play Nintendo, it just feels very Toys-R-Us to me. FastSnail (matte) has more of a adult feel which I would prefer to use myself.I got these to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The small joy cons are too cramped to play Smash very comfortably when trying to access the shoulder buttons. These grips are definitely a must have if any Switch game requires you to access the shoulder buttons.The feel is great and the grips are just every so slightly smaller than a full sized controller, but that's just because of the lack of buttons so it requires less surface area. All the buttons are easily reached, clicked, and most importantly feel natural to hit. My only complaint is that I feel the rubber pads could hold them in a bit tighter. They shouldn't ever fall out, but sometimes in a heated match, pressing hard on the joystick could make the joycon pop a little lose.These grips not only make Smash Bros Ultimate playable, but the grips actually feel nice enough to use as a permanent controller choice rather a temporary solution to getting a GameCube adapter. I've even had some family members opt to using the grip rather than the GameCube controller as the grips are just big/simple enough to get the job done without feeling slightly more bulky like that GameCube controller has always felt to me.They work great and feel great. However they lack the controller light passthrough, so you won't be able to easily see what number you are. Other than that the colour match is good. But you can get ones with the light passthrough for around the same price.We bought these so multiplayer games would be more comfortable to play for a long time. These grips do the job perfectly. The joy-cons slide in easily and we've had no problems with the buttons, all work as expected whilst inside the grip. Would recommend!The go to first accessories you should buy buy you get a switch. Cheap and effectiveThese controllers are great they are cheap and they do what they are supposed to. I play a lot of two player mario kart and these make it so much easier to drift instead of using the tiny buttons the joy cons give you on the side. Definitely recommend.Fit fine to joycons
