It would be easy for a fighting game to get lost in the shuffle. There are a lot of fighters out there already on other consoles, PC. Not only that, but since great fighters transcend time. If you add all the great fighters from systems in the past. You've got a lot to overcome. The Switch already has it's Street Fighter collections, it's BlazBlue. It'll have Super Smash Bros. One thing new this game gives that the others did not. A game with entirely new roster, many characters here have been in other games, but this is the fight time they've been in a fighting game. That's particularly compelling for me. Nobody I am familiar with. No one that's just being re-hashed from before. So far, playing this game. It's reminded me, great fighters don't have to be Ryu and Scorpion. You can still make great new characters. Whether they are created from scratch or taken from other game genres. Let's face it, this game has a smaller roster than most. Probably owing to the smaller price tag. Thankfully though, I found every fighter to be unique and stand on their own. No one felt like a copy, like another one in the roster. They were truly unique. Sure it's fun that some cross over from other game genres and ips.Beyond this, I must admit, this game is going to struggle to get over the mass of great fighters throughout the decades. Not because it's bad but because there is so much more out there with so much more content. It's going to have to overcome this. It won't be easy. If there is a chance it can overcome it, it's best chance is on Switch. Switch has a few fighters but not too many that people can ignore it. PS4 has more than enough to distract people. PC, god, that's even worse. They've got decades of choice. Switch. Blazblue is a solid Anime fighter, Street Fighter Collection is a great Retro fighter, Pocket Rumble is a great niche indie title and Ultra Street Fighter II is....there. So, there is room for a completely original well priced game. I hope it finds a place. It's worth it.Also nice little items inside I didn't expect. Reversal slightly more naughty cover, Pin and Manual (a Manual in 2018!!!)Don't be put off by the small roster, small roster but well done. Tight gameplay, very accessible. Still can be difficult though if you want it to be. Plus it has online, no better hard difficulty than a good online player. Good solid amount of offline content. Give this one a try and let others know about it.
